Reston Biking Event in April: Paul’s Ride for Life
An annual bicycling event is set to occur Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Washington & Dominion trail in Reston Virginia. The annual event or Paul’s ride for life is a tribute biking ride in remembrance of a Reston resident who was killed tragically from injuries sustained in a bicycle accident on the Washington and Old Dominion Trail. If you are interested in writing in the event the registration is currently open and cost $30 dollars.
Paul Rossmeissl was 54 when he died on June 7, 2006, from injuries sustained in a bicycle accident on the Washington and Old Dominion trail, a favorite biking route. His accident involved a collision with another bike, and as with many such tragedies, was preventable. Paul is not the only person who lost his life to a biking injury that’s why it’s important to always ride safe, wear protective gear, and be aware of motorists traveling around your bicycle.
The Strong Law Firm commends Paul’s family and friends for their dedication to inform and educate others on the importance of bike safety, and to remember their loved one in such an enriching way for our entire community.
Let’s all meet up at the Ride for Life, and show our thanks to this courageous group, and have some fun while we are at it!
